A UK company has developed a city information system for users of mobile phones and other pocket devices. Aimed at visitors and residents alike, the system provides maps and multimedia information about a city's heritage, attractions, leisure and nightlife; it effectively provides the user with a tourist information centre in their pocket. Guides have been produced for Norwich, Cambridge, London and Barcelona; partners are now sought to help develop similar systems for other European cities.
